The best colors combinations for your living room

The right color scheme can completely form a room, adding a sense of calm and serenity, or drama and intensity. The living room is usually the largest and busiest area of our house. That’s why it’s quite important to decorate it properly.

Coral and Mint

The soft color of mint is an ideal choice for the walls of a living room, as it will illuminate the space and give a spring mood. If you combine it with some coral touches and some aged furniture, you can add a retro look to your living room.

Blue and Green

Two seemingly unmatched colors, but under the right conditions can create a very beautiful space, full of vitality. Whether you choose soft, darker tones, paint the walls, or simply decorate with these colors, you will surely create a unique living room.

Orange and Turquoise

Orange and turquoise are one of my favorite combinations. Two explosive colors that if combined correctly the result is unique.

Bordeaux and Grey

Bordeaux can give a touch of elegance to your living room. You can combine it with either open shades of grey or more intense. In both cases the result will surprise you.

White and Blue

Paint or decorate your living room in blue and white tones, so you can have summer mood all year round

5 Tips to Make Your Small Kitchen Look Large

Mirrors are especially useful when there is no, or minimal, natural light in a kitchen. They can help to open the space up and bounce light around. Use antique mirror tiles instead of traditional tile for a backsplash, or place an antique framed mirror above a stove. It’s better to look at than a plain wall.

The lighter the kitchen, the larger it can feel. Sometimes, if there is a good view out a window, You can focus on bringing the outdoors in and using nature to dictate the palette.” Keeping an especially light palette on countertops, backsplashes, walls, and millwork also helps a small kitchen feel more open.

Open shelves are extremely functional and make it so much easier to access dishes and glasses. You should think about your kitchen architecturally, as it doesn’t always make sense to have upper cabinets, especially if the ceilings are ten feet high.

The floor—an often overlooked area of a kitchen—is the perfect place for a high-impact design element. A patterned floor will give the illusion of a greater expanse to space. You can mix it up with either chevron or herringbone wood-floor patterns or even using hand-painted cement tile for a more bohemian feel.

You can never have enough lighting in a kitchen, good lighting, and plenty of it is incredibly important while cooking. Use flush or recessed fixtures, and don’t forget about under-cabinet lighting.

The Best Decoration Trends Of 2019

Like every time the year is over, we observe the decorative tendencies that have passed and predicted the ones to follow.

2018 was an interesting year. We noticed a tendency away from strict minimalism and closer to coordinated and colorful design.

So what are we waiting for in 2019? Learn below!

“Mushrooms” lamps

The mushroom-shaped lamps saw them in 2018, but something tells us that 2019 will be their year. On the one hand, the fact that it is vintage, on the other hand, the fact that it is an easy way to get color in the space, these lamps expect to see them inside of many houses.

Italy of the interwar

2018 was an interesting year. We noticed a tendency away from strict minimalism and closer to coordinated and colorful design.
The decoration of the interwar may be losing ground in recent years, but when we talk about inter-war Italy then things are different. Italian designers imported furniture with curves, elegant lines, and vivid colors. Parts of this decoration already use several design companies and we predict that they will snap in 2019

Basic Shades

2017 was the year of pastels, while 2018 prevailed the deep metallic tones. We followed the full range of colors in the past years, but in 2019 the main colors return to the decoration. Deep red, intensely dark blue and bright mustard are just some of the nuances we observe in the new collections.

Plinthina tables

2018 was an interesting year. We noticed a tendency away from strict minimalism and closer to coordinated and colorful design.
Since the minimalist Scandinavian furniture starred in the interior decoration in recent years, it is only natural that there is a turn to the heavier (but elegant) furniture. The brick tables are expected to have their honor in 2019.

Lamps from rice paper

Isamu Noguchi is the inspirist of these very characteristic pieces. These luminaires have been known for several years, but we expect to see them multiply in 2019! It is an economical and very interesting solution for small or large spaces.

Color Matching

Color Matching: Combination of the colors of the furniture and the floor

Make sure your floor color is two shades lighter or much darker than the color of the furnishings. Flooring and furnishings of the same color and wood can be combined if you put a carpet in a different contrasting color between them. On a neutral floor, for example, natural oiled oak, do not be afraid to use dark wood furnishings such as wenge or walnut. Very attractive is the light furnishings with white varnish. Furnishings in light wood combined with light-colored walls and light-colored floors create a relaxed home atmosphere. This is a safe approach, but you may end up with a dull interior. Many simultaneous color tones can become monotonous.

What mood creates a particular floor color?

• Floors with yellowish beige color. The yellowish beige colors are warm, comfortable and create a sense of optimism. Floors with oak, beech or maple design make the darker room warmer.

• Red-orange floors These floors give a warm feel to the room. This color is often combined with stunning yellow accessories.

• Brown floors A brown color, especially for floors, points to our relationship with the earth. Compared with the walls, it must always remain in the background. Coffee is made up of many other colors, which means it can be combined with many other colors. Coffee is not a dull color. It is handy and suitable for different interiors, as long as the light in the room is enough and highlights the brown color. In some interiors, complementary colors for the floor and walls are combined to create contrast. In other cases, a combination of tones is preferred. Combining tones means combining dark and light shades of the same color. This can create very harmonious and calm effects, however, it can become monotonous.

How to combine colorful floors with walls and furnishings

Types of tropical wood produce very warm floors. For example, merbau, afzelia doussie, natural varnished Quick-Step teak etc. These types of wood are very lively and for this reason, it can be difficult to combine with the furniture and the lining of the wall.

Tip: Keep the walls warm and neutral, eg in off-white shades. This creates an attractive contrast to the floor. Do not overdo it with contrast effects and use at most one or two different colors.
